Gippsland House is situated within the expansive landscape of the Gippsland Lakes, conceived as part of a broader collection of buildings distributed across a large rural site.

The architecture is defined by simplicity and clarity of form. A series of pared-back volumes sit lightly within the landscape, their geometry and materiality allowing the buildings to recede into the surrounding terrain. The arrangement establishes a quiet dialogue between built form and the horizon, framing long views while maintaining a strong sense of shelter and enclosure.

Internally, spaces are composed with restraint. Minimal detailing, natural materials, and a muted palette create a calm and cohesive environment where light and landscape become the primary focus. Openings are carefully proportioned to capture specific outlooks, drawing the exterior into the everyday experience of the home.

The project is conceived as a place of stillness and retreat. Through reduction and clarity, Gippsland House establishes an architecture that is both grounded in its setting and quietly immersive, where landscape and dwelling are experienced as one.
