Williamstown House No. 2 is an exploration of material, light and sequence, composed with clarity and restraint.
A series of calm, interconnected interiors unfold from arrival. The entry is defined by raw concrete, warm stone and soft, indirect light, establishing a quiet threshold between exterior and interior. Subtle detailing and controlled proportions create a sense of permanence, balanced by a soft atmosphere.
Below ground, a wellness space is conceived as a place of retreat. A planted courtyard introduces filtered light into the basement, where water, landscape and natural materials create a calm and restorative environment.
Living spaces above continue this approach. Framed views toward Port Phillip Bay, muted textures and low forms create interiors that feel both grounded and expansive. Openings are carefully positioned to capture light and horizon, strengthening the connection to context.
The project is defined by material honesty and refined detailing, where light, texture and proportion shape the experience of the home.
